DIGGING IN- ABOUT THE BUSINESS
Can you tell us a bit about what makes your shop unique?
We have a strong relationship with our customers; they feel welcome, safe, and accepted here. More than once we have shared the joys of life or cried over a glass of wine with them. And they know when they shop with us, that they can expect quality clothing with a creative, beautiful twist.
What is your personal or business mission?
Our goals: ethical + sustainable fashion, handmade goods, local female artists and women-owned companies.
Why is buying ethical or environmentally responsible products important to you?
We want each single decision we make as a business to reflect our personal desires to build a more sustainable approach to fashion for the future of our planet. Supporting small businesses with a focused approach is just one step towards the larger goal. Each customer supports this future when they purchase from us.

What do you or your customers love about tonlé?
We are proud to share with our friends and customers that tonlé is a zero-waste driven company; and that each item is made by artisans. We will show the labels with a REAL person's name on it; we are proud to support real companies that care about their employees. Our customers feel like they are making their own personal impact statement when they purchase from small, ethically run companies.
Which piece from our new collection are you most excited to receive?
We are in love with the new handwoven Srey vest in natural. It is something a little different, and our customer's love the style. It fits so many body types, and the handwoven fabric is unique in a mass produced world.
“You know that wonderful feeling you get when you find that cute cuuute outfit and yet...you are SO comfy? Here is mine! And not only do I feel like I could take a nap while looking fab, I’m also super stoked about the origins of my ‘fit! Zero waste top and organic hemp/cotton bottoms.” Repost @thegoldencrane featuring our Veha top.
Where have you been finding inspiration as you curate your spring selection?
We have been inspired by the season of new growth and personal development that we have all experienced this past year. We have taken the time to analyze our lives and goals while truly having the time to sift through and find each pearl of hope and joy. We see natural tones, with splashes of bright joy in our Spring selections. Back to the roots with the ever blooming future we are each building.
Amidst trying times we continue channeling joy! We'd love to hear what's bringing you joy this season if there's anything you'd like to share.
We are finding new joys within our own selves and the love and devotion we have found in caring and sharing on a deeper level with those around us. Each step taken, however hard, is a step towards a new appreciation for the simplicities of life, and the ever evolving deepness of ourselves.
