A slightly cropped short sleeve shirt that closes with hand-carved coconut shell buttons. Featuring a patch pocket on the chest and bold hand-printed plant motifs. It pairs perfectly with high-waisted bottoms and is an ideal layer over tanks or under jackets. Button it all the way up or open the top two buttons for an open collar look!

This shirt is a gender-expansive style designed in collaboration with Christopher, aka The Plant Kween. These are their style notes: “Short shirts are chic! This lightweight, buttoned shirt will have you strutting through the week feeling cute, comfy yet professional.”

The pieces in the Plant Kween x tonlé collection were created out of a shared appreciation for radical self-love, healing, community care, and (of course) plants! This clothing combines Christopher’s visionary style with tonlé’s sustainable, zero waste process, as each piece is made from reclaimed materials. The relaxed cut of this shirt is designed to fit many body types as part of our work to disrupt gender binarism in the fashion industry. Clothing in this collection allows fashion to be a form of self-expression and joy for our team making these pieces, and for our community wearing them.

We are working to reject and disrupt gender binarism in the fashion industry. Because traditional size charts can often be quite binary - we invite you to consider our measurements included in our sizing chart when considering which items may fit you best. If you have any questions about our sizing, don’t hesitate to reach out to us! We have worked to make our garments have an adaptable fit for all bodies. Please note that some garments may have specific fit notes and those will be included in the notes about that specific garment’s fit.

Made from reclaimed rayon, which feels cool and comfortable to the touch. tonlé pieces are made from textiles that larger garment manufacturers consider waste. Our expert sourcing team seeks out the highest quality fabrics left over from factory production, burn testing each textile to assure that it is at least 90% natural, plant-based fiber. We recommend machine washing in cold water and hanging to dry. This is the best way to care for your pants—and the earth. Iron on medium heat if needed. Fabrics are pre-washed and shrunk, but may shrink slightly if machine-dried.
