hand-painted circles midi skirt - open closet reimagined - large

$98 USD

Our Open Closet Reimagined Collection engages makers from our community to take garments with perceived imperfections and use them as a springboard for their imagination- resulting in fresh, one-of-a-kind pieces for a wardrobe that's uniquely you. For our first round of Reimagined pieces, makers from the tonlé team worked with dye, paint, and bleach resist to upcycle each piece into a new work of art.

This skirt has been tie and dyed using a bleach resist to create a one-of-a-kind piece. This breezy calf-length, bias cut midi skirt has two generous side pockets and an easygoing elastic waistband. Made from a lightweight rayon-cotton blended crepe, this skirt will become a warm weather go-to. Made from reclaimed textiles in our unique zero waste process, this skirt is a standard in any minimalist capsule wardrobe.

This reimagined pre-owned skirt is available through open closet, our circular fashion resale platform.

This garment is made with a lightweight blended crepe fabric – mixed between cotton and rayon – sourced as deadstock and offcuts. This upcycled fabric feels cool and comfortable to the touch and keeps your mind at ease knowing this fabric is sustainably sourced. We burn test each fabric to assure that it is at least 90% natural, plant-based fiber. To best take care of your zero waste upcycled garment (and to reduce your environmental footprint), we recommend machine washing in cold water, and hanging to dry. This garment can be ironed on low heat, and wrinkles steam out easily. Our fabrics are hand selected each week from remnant markets where large manufacturers bring discarded off-cuts and deadstock, and we do our best to select the most consistent, comfortable, and high quality fabrics. Fabrics are pre-washed and shrunk, but if you machine dry this garment it may shrink slightly.
