hand-painted birch sothea pants - open closet reimagined - small

$95 USD

Our Open Closet Reimagined Collection engages makers from our community to take garments with perceived imperfections and use them as a springboard for their imagination- resulting in fresh, one-of-a-kind pieces for a wardrobe that's uniquely you. For our first round of Reimagined pieces, makers from the tonlé team worked with dye, paint, and bleach resist to upcycle each piece into a new work of art.

These pants have been hand-painted to create a one-of-a-kind piece. Wide-leg pants with a stylish tie in front. These pants have two side pockets and an easy elastic waist band. Style with an elegant top and heels or stick to slides and a t-shirt—our sothea pants are versatile. Made from reclaimed textiles as part of our zero waste process, these sothea pants can be a central component in any sustainable capsule wardrobe.

These reimagined pre-owned pants are available through open closet, our circular fashion resale platform.

This piece is made from linen and or a cotton/linen blend – sourced as deadstock and offcuts left over from larger garment manufacturers. To best take care of your zero waste upcycled garment (and to protect the earth), we recommend machine washing in cold water, and hanging to dry. This garment can be ironed on medium heat, but after linen is washed a few times, it softens and does not need much ironing. Our fabrics are hand selected each week from remnant markets where large manufacturers bring discarded off-cuts and deadstock, and we do our best to select the most consistent, comfortable, and high quality fabrics. Fabrics are pre-washed and shrunk, but if you machine dry this garment it may shrink slightly.
